My fresh water filter was plugged with gooey, smelly, black slime. Bleach, baking soda and repeated flushings failed to remove the slime which was now colourless. A costly tank replacement was averted when I found Purge Tank Cleanser at my RV dealer. An overnight soak followed by flushing and we've had free-flowing and good-tasting water ever since. We add a small amount or Purge from time to time to ensure slime-free, good-tasting water.
